I am a palynologist. I took my degree from the Laboratory of Palaeoecology and Archaeobotany, University of Gdańsk where I work at present. My interests are in Holocene forests history in the Kashubian Lakeland, and in tracing the human impact on the natural environment. After completing my PhD thesis on Late Holocene history of selected forest phytocoenoses with hornbeam and beech I participated in projects on the natural history of the Białowieża Forest, the record of climatic and environmental change in annually laminated lake sediments, and the natural environment of the Wolin Island at the close of the last glaciation and during the Holocene.
