Conference in Edinbourgh

Exploring the role of silver in Europe between the 5th and the 7th century, the conference Silver, Status and Society – the transition from Late Roman to Early Medieval Europe was held 8-9 June 2017 at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh, attended by researchers from England, Scotland, Denmark, Germany, Netherlands and Poland. On this occasion A. Bursche presented a paper on Roman denarii in Late Roman and Migration Periods written in cooperation with K. Myzgin. Further encounters were scheduled for December 2017 and June 2018.
